The Community Foundation Serving Boulder County
improving the lives
of gays and lesbians in Boulder County

The Open Door Fund, a permanent endowment of The Community Foundation, supports the Boulder County community by raising money and distributing grants for programs that enhance the lives of its gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people.

Applications are now being accepted for 2010 Open Door Fund grants. Applications are due July 14, 2010. See the Open Door Fund RFP page.

The Open Door Fund conducted a survey in the spring of 2010 to help identify the LGBT community and the community needs we should fund. Thanks to all who responded to the survey! Here are the results:
Executive summary.     Statistical sumary.     Full Report.

Since our founding in 1996, we have made grants totaling more than $350,000 to agencies and programs serving the LGBT community in Boulder County, and have built an endowment nearing $400,000 to save for future needs. We are the largest funder of LGBT needs in Boulder County, Colorado.
